SE Zahidukrgeologiya has been and is currently completing government contracts for monitoring hazardous geological processes in Transcarpathian, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions of Ukraine as part of the implementation of government programmes and projects.

In recent years, monitoring and study of exogenous processes in Ukraine has been carried out in a rather reduced format, which creates local and transboundary hazards. The situation is driven by the war, but the relevance of such work is likely to grow every year, especially in terms of Ukraine's integration into the European community.

It is proposed to launch a project to launch a system for monitoring and studying exogenous processes in border and other national regions in cooperation with European partners, relevant institutions and organisations in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, and Slovakia. At the same time, a number of vital measures should be taken within the framework of the project:

  • Coordination of a unified methodology for research and monitoring of exogenous processes and their manifestations;
  • Creation of a monitoring system for exogenous areas/manifestations/situations important for the transboundary region;
  • Creation of a system for alerting and forecasting the onset of exogenous hazards;
  • Study of exogenous processes to deepen scientific and practical intergovernmental activities, including experience sharing;
  • Unification of the sectoral legislative framework and methodological tools for the integration of Ukrainian legislation in line with international and European standards.

Within the framework of our project, we are looking for partners from Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Moldova with the expertise in geology, emergency management, environmental safety, subsoil use, as well as road maintenance and transport infrastructure.
