Participation of the "Zahidukrgeology" in the international project EU-WATERRES
The “Zahidukrgeologiya” team, with the assistance of the National Joint Stock Company Nadra Ukrayiny, took part in the final workshop of the project “European Integrated Management System for Transboundary Groundwater Resources and Anthropogenic Hazards”, which was held at the Norwegian Geological Survey and was dedicated to the results of more than 3 years of work.
Jostein Mårdalen, Deputy Head of the Norwegian Geological Survey, and Taras Kuzmych, Chairman of the NJSC Nadra Ukrayiny, addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.
Halyna Medvid from Zakhidukrgeologiya made two presentations: “How to create a transboundary groundwater monitoring network: lessons from the Polish-Ukrainian pilot zone” and “Groundwater vulnerability to pollution: assessment of the Polish-Ukrainian transboundary groundwater basin”.
Ukraine was also represented by Natalia Zaritovska (State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine), Volodymyr Klos (Ukrainian Geological Company) and Vasyl Dyakiv (Lviv National University).
