Memorandum with the Beregov City Council: the start of a new era of geothermal development in Transcarpathia
On September 2, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Enterprise "Zakhidukrheologiya" and the Beregov City Council. This is an important step in realizing the potential of Transcarpathian thermal resources for the Beregov community.
The Beregov region gains the prospect of renewing preserved thermal deposits that have remained unused for years. Through joint efforts, we strive to:
• attract investments and develop infrastructure,
• implement modern projects in the tourism, energy, recreation and water supply sectors,
• create new jobs for the local community,
• and also form an investment program for the sustainable development of the geothermal potential of the Beregov community.
"This became possible thanks to mutual understanding with the city authorities, personally the mayor of Beregov Zoltan Babyak, and our readiness for fruitful cooperation," emphasized the director of the State Enterprise "Zakhidukrheologiya" Mykhailo Lyshak.
Together with the Beregov community, we are confidently moving towards sustainable development, energy independence, and qualitative transformation of the region.
